Clik here to view.SOUTH BEND – The stellar season for the Elkhart Memorial boys soccer team continued Thursday night.
The Crimson Chargers blanked Culver Academies 1-0 in a regional semifinal game at Jackson Field.
Memorial, now 15-4 after their 13th straight win, will face No. 17 Penn Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the South Bend Regional title match back at Jackson Field.
The Kingsmen beat South Bend St. Joseph 2-1 in the other semifinal Thursday night, winning by a 4-3 edge in a shootout in the first sudden-death round. Penn, winners of 11 in a row, improves to 14-4.
Memorial did not play Penn during the regular season.
Memorial dominated play against the Eagles, who beat Warsaw on Saturday night to win the Warsaw Sectional title. The Crimson Chargers had a 13-2 edge in shots on goal and a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks in the match.
The Chargers, who beat No. 1 Goshen 1-0 and No. 12 Concord 3-0 to win the program’s first sectional title in 18 years, got a goal from Zach Groulx in the 49th minute for the winner. Javier Prieto assisted on the lone score of the contest.
Goalie Diego Reynoso had two saves for the Chargers. Michael Weright had 12 stops for the Culver Academy.
Culver Academy finishes its season at 15-3. St. Joe is done at 13-5-1.

Class 1-A at LaVille
Rensselaer Central 3, Bishop Noll 0
Mishawaka Marian 2, Boone Grove 2 (Marian wins 4-3 on PKs)
Marian and Boone Grove were locked at 1-1 heading into overtime, where Marian struck first when Cristian Juarez struck first but Boone Grove answered when David Ooms tied the game at two. Christian Verstraete scored first for Marian in regulation, followed by Boone Grove’s Logan Tatalovich.
Results for the first game between Central and Noll were not reported.
Marian (16-2) advances to meet Rensselaer Central (14-2-4) in Saturday’s final at Newton Park.
Class 1-A at Whitko
Heritage 2, Lakewood Park Christian 1
Fort Wayne Blackhawk 1, Westview 0
Heritage used two goals from Hil Sun and three saves from keeper Jordan Melcher to knock out LPC.
Nathan Furst pitched the shutout in net for Blackhawk, which sends Westview home after a 12-6-1 season. Warrior keeper Hunter Whitney made seven saves in the loss.
Heritage (15-3) and Blackhawk (12-6-2) meet in Saturday’s regional final in South Whitley.
Class 1-A at Argos
Eastern 3, Rochester 0
Argos 1, West Lafayette 0
Eastern had the Ryan brothers, Dylan and Dalton, combined for all of the team’s offensive output. Dylan had two goals and Dalton while Tristen Myers pitched the shutout in net. Cole Dillingham made 11 saves in net for the Zebras, which bow out at 11-7-1.
A Chandler Campbell goal was all Argos needed to send the Red Devils back to Tippecanoe County. The Dragons also had Kyle Fishburn make just one save to record the shutout in net.
Argos (14-3-2) will host Eastern (16-1-1) Saturday for the regional title.
